I spent my young adult years totally unplugged from society on a chosen path as a vagabond. I wandered freely across North America on a great spiritual journey. The years I spent to myself on the road are some of my most cherished memories. I learned to see through new eyes what a miraculous gift it truly is to be alive on the planet Earth.
The survival skills I acquired along the way have become strengths that I draw from today. Something I discovered about myself during this time was that I had a healing touch gift. I found myself with the ability to remove migraines from people's brains by laying my hands on them in a trance I acquired through studying meditation.
It was about 2 years later that I was in a car accident. I brushed it off as no big deal and did not seek treatment. The pain began a week later. I found myself unable to carry my backpack or sleep on the hard ground any longer. I knew that I needed to rejoin society and take care of my body.
The compassion and empathy I cultivated through exposure to Tibetan Buddhism is what inspired me to choose the path of a massage therapist. I love what I do, I love that it causes no harm, I love that I don't need to take anything from the earth but about 2 gallons of massage oil a year, and I love doing this work on my own terms. What I love most of all is connecting with people, getting to know their stories and figuring out a way to help them live a more vibrant life. This has been an incredibly rewarding 20 years full of powerful memories and humbling experiences.
My body has been my greatest teacher through out my life. It told me when to come in from living a wild life and it helped me decide what to commit my life to. It has been through a multitude of illness and pain patterns and shown from the inside out how to navigate various states of dis-ease back into wellness. I have cultivated a philosophy though the hardships of life that life is not meant to be lived perfectly, but instead, life is meant to cultivate resilience through a devotion to wellness. I continue to study and learn new ways to help. There is no end to the pursuit of knowledge on this path. I am currently studying Neuro Kinetic Therapy.

When I'm not in office you can't catch me anywhere because I tend to spend my free time in quiet places, dodging crowds and enjoying a contemplative lifestyle. i'm at home reading and writing, taking care of my body or messing around with an instrument. Or somewhere in the woods when no one else is there with my very special dog Lala and sometimes my loving and wise girlfriend. You might see me at the health food store but that's pushing it. Other than that, I care for my elderly Mother who lives near by and try to take little trips when I can. I cherish music that creates stillness and emotional release, highly nutritious lovingly prepared whole food meals, kettlebell swinging, long walks to empty my mind, simplicity, quietude and above all- peace.
