Kate Prouty, owner, LMT, OMT, trained at the Mayo Clinic, in the College of Medicine and Science, studying Hospital-Based Massage; with Tracy Walton in Boston for Oncology Massage Therapy; and has created an intense 6-month "Advanced Skills Residency" program that all her employees are required to go through.

She taught massage at Lansing Community College, and has been lauded in several articles in local publications for her skill, professionalism, and creativity.

Nationally, she and her work have been featured include the magazine of the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals ("Massage and Bodywork"), the website of the Mayo Clinic, and the podcast "I Have a Client Who," by Ruth Werner, world-renown researcher and author.

In 2020, an Oncology Massage Therapy Grant that she co-sponsored created a full-year program providing skilled massage therapy in the Oncology/Radiation/Chemotherapy departments of McLaren Hospital and the Karmanos Cancer Institute. The grant was generously funded by McLaren Hospital, and has been renewed ever since.
