Why Are You Here?: Massage

I begin with establishing your goals for the session and pressure preferences. Do you just want to relax? No problem. A Reiki session is perfect for grounding and coming back to center in a safe and comfortable . Are you an athlete or a novice-level active person trying to maintain your favorite past-time or passion? I can target and pinpoint potential problems that you may not even be aware of. Are you a sufferer of chronic musculoskeletal pain and/or myofascial restriction? Let me get you moving better with my personal style of bodywork and fascial release. If you just need to relax, I can accomplish that as well!

About the Massage: When you go to most places for the first time, it can be hit-or-miss. You typically end up with a therapist that knows nothing about you or your particular body. They may have their routine that they go through, or they may have a set (or mildly-adjustable) pressure level that they work with. You just never know if you’ll get the type of bodywork you are needing from random massage therapists. You aren’t here for “random”. Here’s where I differ... My bodywork is intuitive in nature. Don’t be thrown off by that word. No, I am not a fortune teller, but my hands DO tell me A LOT about what is going on with the musculoskeletal and nervous systems! I’ve spent years studying the body’s response to manual therapies and learning how to truly listen to the body with my hands and trusting the flow of the work. You get to enjoy the best of both worlds, where you can get effective therapeutic work AND still benefit from relaxing techniques.

Besides having an Associate’s degree in my field, I also incorporate an array of Eastern (Asian) techniques and modalities in order to provide you with the best results possible. I am also a certified Reiki Master/Teacher, which allows for much better relaxation and de-stressing for the client. Every BODY is different and deserves an individual approach. My greatest gift to YOU, my very special client, is that of presence and mindfulness throughout the session as I constantly respond to your body’s various needs of focus and pressure, to ultimately achieve the desired goals of our session.
