If you have recently had surgery and are seeking MLD for post-operative surgical swelling, I will need permission from your doctor to treat you. The note will need to state the date of the surgery, the type of surgery you received, that you have been cleared to receive MLD treatment, and any contraindications that I need to be aware of as your therapist. This is for your safety.
