Hello all you lovely people,

My name is Stephen Golden; I am a certified massage practitioner within the city of Chicago. Since I was a little kid, about 10 yrs old, I knew I wanted to be a healer. I started studying massage at Cortiva Institute of Chicago in 2008. Later, I started learning about the culture of Thailand. While dabbling in the knowledge of Thai, I came across Traditional Thai Massage, or as is called in Thailand nuad phaen boran. That lead me to Blue Lotus Thai Healing Studios in Chicago. I am drawn to the massage field by my appreciation for the body. When I say the "body', I'm including the mind as well. Every day we put our bodies through the test of life. Dealing with obstacles, triumphs and dissatisfaction within life and in ourselves, we tend to put the body and mind to work on a physical, emotional, and mental roller coaster. I always wanted to offer my help to others who were in need of some healing in all those areas.

Thai Massage itself is a balanced blend of physical, energetic, and spiritual healing techniques. It is the skillful combination of applying both broad and targeted acupressure, finding and dissolving blockages, stimulating energy lines(sen), opening and toning the body with yoga-like stretches, and allowing and encouraging the receiver to engage in a process of deep relaxation and healing.
