Shoshana has been practicing therapeutic forms of bodywork for almost 30 years. After training at the San Fransisco School of Massage in California in Deep Tissue Massage she went on to study Neuromuscular Therapy and Myofascial Therapy with the Barnes and Upledger Institutes. She has also studied Anatomy Trains with Tom Myers as well as advanced studies in Anatomy and Physiology She has been a yoga practitioner for 30 years and has obtained a Yoga Teacher Certification. She has attended multiple Vipassana retreats and has lived at Karme Choeling in Barnet VT during part of her 20s. She uses her extensive training in Shamanic and Energy healing as a catalyst to increase her deep sense of intuition that comes into all her sessions. Her extensive training and experience allows her to work broadly with chiropractors, physical therapists and professional athletes, as well as a variety of clientele in NYC, Boston, DC and LA. Many of her sessions are individualized and developed based on need of stress reduction, relief of tension and can address chronic pains and injuries.

Shoshana's passion and approach to body work is all about a shared intention that goes beyond the physical. For her it is not just about the action of massaging but a trust that is formed between client and practitioner that she feels honored to be apart of.

Her thirst for knowledge and curious nature have taken her around the world as she continually strives for more knowledge about how people from different backgrounds and cultures heal each other and allow themselves to be healed.

As an innovator in the field, Shoshana strongly believes in bringing clients into a mindful state in order to work cooperatively to relieve tension, deep stress and trauma. To her, bodywork helps clients bring awareness back into their bodies from a cerebral state so that they can be more fully present in their lives and bodies.
