Guidance towards a healthier life

Each and every one of us have the same muscles, bones and tissues that comprise our bodies, yet not one of us is the same. Not one of us will react to stimuli the exact same way. As such, not one of my clients will receive the same therapeutic massage. Some people want deep tissue. Others a softer touch. There are also those who want to mix it up and challenge me. I am happy to accommodate whatever you need. This is your time after all.

I encourage a regular schedule for therapeutic massage. There are many benefits that become more noticeable when massage becomes a monthly, bi-monthly or weekly event. Hopefully, by the time we reach an undetermined time in our lives, as it is different for everyone, our health becomes more of a priority. This is where I come in. I will help you maintain muscle health, in order to keep you moving and flexible. This is a core goal in my practice, the very reason why I became a Massage Therapist.

Since I received my license in 2003, I have practiced at two spas, a wellness center, massage center with several other therapists, with two chiropractors, in a medical setting and have had my own studio both in the community for several years and now work from my home studio.

I have also worked with a variety of clients, with and without significant health issues. I am drawn towards those who struggle with chronic pain, mainly due to the fact that I did too and was the reason I chose to become a Massage Therapist. Therapeutic massage provided more pain reduction than any prior method and I learned the importance of stress management too. Regularly scheduled therapeutic massage has allowed me to live my life more fully, enjoy activities that at one time I could not such as hiking and sailing. My mood lifted as fatigue, depression and pain decreased. I began to feel like the young, vibrant woman that I thought was lost. My motivation therefore is to assist others in chronic pain live a healthier and happier life. I encourage clients to set a goal and don't give up. The road may be rocky at times, but persistence does pay off. Nothing worth it is rarely easy.
