Hi!

I'm Desi! Massage Therapist, Mom, Christian, Horse-lover!

I graduated from Denton Massage School in Arlington, WA in 2009. I have done quite a few different things with this education including chair massage, working at a massage studio, a hair salon, a gym, farmers markets and a variety of other things. I have worked at Elements Massage on the South Hill in Spokane for the last 2+ years, and it is a wonderful place to work and learn. I am excited for the opportunity to serve locally in Cheney, where my family lives, learns and worships!

I have a very unique and specific style that I've developed over the years. I don't do traditional deep tissue massage, but I use other modalities to achieve deep work and releases. I maintain a very light to medium deep pressure and continuous flow while listening to what the body needs to come to a place of safeness and letting go. By deeply relaxing and releasing the stress that the body holds in its tissues, your body can achieve greater levels of health and wellness. I am certified in lymphatic drainage massage and integrative reflexology which are two modalities that enhance the flow and health of the body and fit with my personal theology of massage therapy.

The things that define the rest of my life have made huge impacts on how I approach massage therapy. As a christian, I know that this is a gift and a blessing to be shared with others and that by providing a space of safety and rest, I am able to help people along their personal journeys of healing and wholeness. As a mother, I have learned the importance of safe physical touch and nurturing. As a lifelong horse person, I have learned to listen to the body more than words and the power of being present in the moment.
