Thanks for checking out The Well Haus. I'm Becca Paulsen, your massage therapist, and my goal is to teach you and the surrounding communities about massage therapy benefits and have people start thinking of massage as a health necessity instead of a fancy luxury.

My path to becoming a massage therapist was a bit longer than most as I kind of stumbled into the massage field. After trying 4 different majors my first two years of college I ended up settling on dance as my major. I knew living in Nebraska that dance wouldn't get me where I wanted to be and felt like I was still missing the fulfillment of being in the medical field. After looking around and finding that there was a massage school in Omaha and that it was only a year long I thought what the heck it's worth a shot. It was the best decision I could have made because I fell in love with the massage world.

The most exciting thing about starting my own massage therapy career is the fact that I can run my business however I like. If I feel a client needs 10 more minutes I can give that to them. It's also extremely exciting when clients reschedule. It tells me as a therapist that the client is enjoying my massage and that I am truly making a difference in their personal health.

I'm constantly looking to improve my skillset and techniques. I continue to take classes that will not only benefit the community, but will also add to the services I provide. For example pre/post natal, lymphatic drainage/facilitation, and trigger point therapy are 3 types of therapy I'll be learning throughout the year.
