** IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: **

To all clients,

I am excited to share that I plan to return to school in the fall to finish my degree in mental health counseling. My wish is that you will share in my excitement for this next chapter, and that you will follow me (@highrockmassage) on Instagram and Facebook as I rebrand my business and shift my focus to mental health support. I believe that my time as a massage therapist will only have made me a better therapist in the end. The component of the mind-body experience is crucial in the healing process and I hope to carry that forward into my next walk of life.

I could never express my gratitude fully to everyone who has played a part in getting me to where I am today. To everyone who has supported me along on this journey, thank you, from the bottom of my heart. You are the backbone upon which my career was built, and I am in awe of what so many of you have entrusted in me over the years.

As I shift the focus of my offerings, I will be putting 100% of my time and efforts into my schooling. As a client of mine, you know that I jump in with both feet into anything I do. To maintain physical, emotional, and spiritual health that I promote for all of you, it is my turn to walk the walk. So, in order to effectively balance my new role as a student and to maintain a high level of self-care to thrive in a rigorous educational program, High Rock Massage will close effective August 1, 2020. This has not been an easy decision to make, and I have faced tremendous difficulty in doing so. With that being said, I believe it to be the best option with the amount of uncertainty at this current time, even though it breaks my heart to walk away from the business that I have worked so hard to build, the clients who I have grown to know and love, and the career that has made me the person I am today.

To those who have outstanding packages and gift certificates, if you have not been contacted yet, I encourage you to contact me if you would like a chance to redeem them before my office closes on Thursday, July 30th. If we are unable to accommodate your gift certificate or package balance, I will issue you a refund upon your request.

As Lao Tzu said, “new beginnings are often disguised as painful endings.” This is without a doubt one of the hardest decisions that I have ever made, but I know that what lies ahead has my best interests, and the interests of the well-being of others, at heart.

High Rock Massage

Owner and massage therapist Hope Robertson Mumby began High Rock Massage in 2019. An alumni of the Center for Natural Wellness School of Massage Therapy in Albany, and New York State licensed since 2013, Hope has spent the majority of her career as a massage therapist working in various medical, chiropractic, sports and therapeutic massage settings. Hope's passion for massage therapy comes from an appreciation for the body's natural ability to heal itself by using holistic treatment. Her approach is both intuitive and therapeutic in nature, and by blending techniques of myofascial release, positional release, and deep tissue therapies she delivers a custom session to each and every recipient. This particular combination of therapies has shown to be effective in increasing range of motion, decreasing pain, and promoting a greater sense of well-being in her clients bodies. She is continuously seeking information on the medical benefits of massage therapy, open to learning new techniques, and exploring additional therapies that may help her clients to achieve a pain-free state in their bodies. When she isn’t practicing her trade, Hope enjoys traveling and taking adventures with her husband Ken, seeking out the best local eats, whipping up her own creations in the kitchen, immersing herself in nature, and exercising her artistic abilities.
