Sylvia Hood Washington, PhD, ND, MPH, CLT-LANA, BCTMB, HTCP, RYT-500, is an interdisciplinary trained and Board Certified Lymphatic Therapist and complementary alternative healthcare practitioner. Born with congenital lymphedema she is dedicated to working with patients suffering from lymphedema, chronic edema and those with compromised immune systems. She is also a BEMER Senior Distribution providing Physical Vascular Therapy to her clients who want to boost their circulation.

She also uses green complementary and alternative medicine to support environmentally sensitive populations (e.g. asthma, bronchitis, lupus and COPD). Dr. Washington is an epidemiologist (MPH), a Healing Touch Certified Practitioner (HTCP)and formally trained as a Naturopath with a Doctorate in Naturopathy (ND), Certified Lymphatic Therapist through the Lymphology Association of North America (CLT-LANA). Dr. Washington has been certified through the National Board Certification for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCTMB) and is a nationally registered yoga instructor (RYT-500).

Services offered at are Manual Lymphatic Drainage(MLD-Vodder) and Complete Decongestive Therapy (Wrapping and Compression), Lymphatic Energy Drainage (HTCP), Lymphatic Yoga and Lymphatic Breath-work (RYT-500), Physical Vascular Therapy and Naturopathic Coaching and Counseling (ND).

As a formally trained Prenatal and Postpartum Doula, Dr. Sylvia offers prenatal and postnatal massage( BCTMB, LMT) for moms experiencing pain, edema and congestion.

A prescription for lymphatic therapy from MD, DO, Chiropractors or Podiatrist is preferred prior to treatment especially if they are seeking reimbursements. Patients can self refer but they must come in for an initial consultation and assessment. PATIENTS are SOLELY RESPONSIBLE for insuring that they can be reimbursed for our services.

Dr. Sylvia is a credentialed healthcare provider through American Specialty Health Insurance, Providence Health Plan and Capitol Blue Cross. We will create Superbills for all patients who desire to be reimbursed by insurance for our services.

There is a $75 fee for cancellation of appointments that occur less than 48 hours. This fee will be a credit if a new appointment is booked within 2 weeks.
