As I child and teenager, often I would receive, body work from my mom and her friends. I always found the massage and body work profession interesting and loved the healing I saw it bringing people.

I first trained in Thai Massage at the Omega Institute in 2003. In 2011 After I attended Irene's Myomassolgy Institute in Southfield Michigan I became licensed as a massage therapist in the state of Michigan and began a regular practice. At Irene's I continued the study of Thai Massage and branched out into therapeutic forms of massage including neuromuscular release, myofascial, positional release all mixing under the muscular skeletal form of massage called Myomassology.

My yoga training is comprehensive and exceeds the standard way of tracking yoga in the West, as most of my teachers are traditional Yogis from India and not part of the Americanized credentialing system. I am a 300 hour Certified Yoga Therapist with the International Association of Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT). I have 400 hours of formal training through Yoga Alliance, 200 hours in Kundalini Yoga as Taught by Yogi Bhajan and 200 hours with Yoga Therapy OM. I have been a student of Ayurveda since 2003.

In addition to my work as a Yoga Therapist my bodywork specializes in Thai massage and therapeutic table massage. I also practice Orthopedic assessment of the spine. In 2018 I am studying Orthopedic Assessment and massage for all of the other major joints in the body.

My regular clients visit me for management of chronic pain and to help develop yoga programs for greater wellness.

My office is located in Ypsilanti in the Depot Town Neighborhood. I also offer massage at The Health and Fitness Center at Wasthenaw Community College and at my Yoga Studio in Downtown Ypsilanti. The Yoga Maya Center For Yogic Arts and Culture. The Yoga Maya Center is home of the 200 hour yoga teacher training I run with the help of my fiancee Miriam Joy Dowd.

In my free time I enjoy leading call and response Yogic chanting and lead a monthly event called the Full Moon Kirtan.
