Hey Homies :) I’m Christina Davis LMT, the massage therapist and heart behind Homebody Massage Co.

My connection to massage started long before I ever imagined it would become my career. Growing up, my dad would often massage my back and feet at night to help me fall asleep. Some of my earliest experiences with massage were simply about feeling safe, cared for, comfortable, and relaxed at home.

Years later, I decided to give massage school a try—and I was hooked.

I became completely fascinated by what I was learning. Anatomy especially captured my attention, and I loved discovering how interconnected the human body really is. Suddenly, massage became so much more than something that felt good. I was learning how the body moves, compensates, holds tension, protects itself, and responds to touch.

Seven years later, that fascination hasn’t gone away.

But what really keeps me in love with this work is the people.

There’s a feeling I get when someone gets off my table and tells me that something finally feels better, that they can move differently, that their pain has eased, or simply that they feel like themselves again. The gratitude I receive from the people I’m able to help fuels me in a way that very few things do.

Those moments remind me again and again that I’m working within my purpose.

I’m naturally curious, creative, and a little bit of a problem solver, so I genuinely enjoy figuring out what someone’s body needs. Give me a stubborn area of tension and my anatomy-loving brain immediately wants to know what’s contributing to it and how I can help.

When I’m not behind the massage table...

I’m Mom to my 10-year-old daughter, Charlotte, which is easily one of the biggest and most important parts of who I am.

I’m originally from Ohio, but these days I call San Antonio home. I absolutely love traveling, exploring new places, and having new experiences—but ironically enough, I really am a homebody at heart. Give me a comfortable house, good food, music, and people I love, and I’m perfectly happy.

I enjoy anything that lets me be creative, spending time outdoors, cooking and baking, game nights, music, and finding new things to experience and learn.

Our household also includes two Shih Tzus and one tiny baby gecko, so there’s rarely a shortage of personality at home.

Looking back, I think it’s fitting that something my dad once did to help me feel comfortable and cared for at home eventually became the way I care for other people.

Maybe that’s part of why Homebody feels so personal to me.

For me, massage has always been about more than muscles. It’s about care. It’s about connection. It’s about giving someone permission to slow down for a little while and feel at home in their own body.

And I feel incredibly lucky that I get to call that my work.
