My earliest memory of massage began at my grandparents’ kitchen table, where the adults in my
family were playing Scrabble. While my cousins and siblings were downstairs playing pool,
eight-year-old me made my way around the table giving shoulder massages. They filled my head,
telling me how good I was at it—and I believed them.
Nearly sixteen years into my career as a licensed massage therapist, using my hands to help
people feel better still feels just as natural. My education in Exercise Science and Therapeutic
Massage, specialized training, years of hands-on experience, and work as a massage educator
have all shaped the therapist I am today.
I refer to palpation as an art form—the ability to listen to a client’s body and “see” through my
fingers. Continuing education has filled my therapeutic “toolbelt” with techniques and approaches;
experience has taught me when, where, and how to use them. The body on my table guides my
work for the day. Bodies change. Good massage adapts.
Massage By Molly was created to give me the freedom to practice that way: intentionally,
thoughtfully, and according to the individual in front of me. You don’t need to know what kind of
massage to book—you just need a Molly Massage.
I’m fortunate to still have that same encouragement surrounding me today. Turns out, they may
have been onto something around that Scrabble table. And after all these years, I still believe them.
