Ajna (pronounced AHJ-na here in the West) Therapeutics is Ashley Cruz, a licensed massage therapist, certified assisted stretch therapist, trauma informed yoga instructor, and trauma therapist (in training). She fell in love with bodywork after discovering just how much of what we experience (both good and bad) gets stored in our bodies. Her passion is bringing a sense of peace to the body by giving it the space and time to communicate for itself rather than having to rely solely on the mind.

Ajna was designed to help clients because that is what Ashley loves to do. It doesn't matter if that help is increasing range of motion and decreasing pain through assisted stretching; restoring a sense of peace with Swedish massage; or helping to bring back autonomy and freedom with trauma recovery, Ashley is here for you every step of the way.

Ajna is both a place to let go of the day-to-day and to reclaim yourself at the deepest and most authentic level. With thoughtful client care at the forefront of everything Ashley does, she will work with you to design customized sessions that will help you reach your goals and then maintain them.

In the historical context, Ajna is an ancient Sanskrit word meaning "perceive." In Eastern traditions, it refers to the Third Eye, which is considered to be the intuitive, spiritual, and intellectual center of the body. This beautiful term was chosen to represent Ashley's bodywork endeavors to remind her to always strive for clarity, innate wisdom, and creativity in everything she does.
