Shawny Humlåo Evans is a somatic bodyworker and movement practitioner with over twenty years of experience in embodied practice. His work is shaped by a background in professional ballet, concert and contemporary dance, cirque arts, and martial arts—cultivating refined body awareness, structural clarity, and sensitivity to both high-performing and rehabilitative bodies.

Following a serious accident that resulted in a significant concussion, Shawny experienced substantial disruptions to balance, mobility, and physical capacity. The rehabilitation process that followed reshaped his relationship to movement and deepened his understanding of recovery, adaptation, and functional resilience—insights that now inform his work with clients navigating injury and healing.

He is currently integrating into the Empirical Knead Functional Model through a highly curated mentorship under Dedric Carroll, published clinical researcher, Clinical Director, and founder of Empirical Knead.

This mentorship integrates advanced neuromuscular therapy and specialized structural integration, a transformative bodywork approach focused on postural organization, fascial continuity, and functional movement that requires advanced training beyond standard massage education.

Shawny is also certified at Level III in the Usui Reiki lineage and holds Master-level training, bringing grounded energetic awareness and presence-based sensitivity into his therapeutic work. He participates in ongoing clinical and case-based training, maintaining an ethical, responsive, and evolving practice.
