Miguel Rivera is a licensed massage therapist residing in Bellingham, Washington. Through his training at Alaska Career College in Anchorage, Alaska, Miguel completed 920 hours of thorough training. He is well-versed in Swedish massage, Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy, and assisted stretching techniques. He is also certified in Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) and Complete Decongestive Therapy (CLT) through the Academy of Lymphatic Studies (ACOLS) and completed a 135-hour Complete Lymphedema Certification training program in 2024.

Born and raised in San Diego, CA, Miguel enjoyed spending time outdoors; hiking, swimming, surfing, camping, late-night bonfires, the list goes on. He grew up in a family that loved to dance, from salsa and merengue to hip-hop and pop. After serving in the United States Air Force, Miguel’s goals had evolved to wanting to help his community. He got his EMT license and went to nursing school for 3 years before discovering his true passion: massage therapy. With advanced knowledge of kinesiology, anatomy, and physiology from years of medical training, Miguel’s treatments are tailored with both therapeutic intention and attention to detail.

As a mobile massage therapist, Miguel proudly serves clients throughout Whatcom and Skagit Counties, including areas from Blaine to Mount Vernon and Anacortes, bringing expert care directly to the comfort of your home. Using the Vodder Method of MLD, he helps clients address water retention, bloating, and normal swelling (edema) while supporting the body's natural healing processes. For those seeking lymphedema treatment, he offers comprehensive care, including MLD, compression bandaging, and custom garment measuring. He enjoys working with post-operative clients recovering from plastic and cosmetic procedures, including tummy tucks, liposuction, BBLs, breast surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries. I also work with clients living with all stages of lipedema and lymphedema.

As a father, Miguel understands how difficult it can be for parents and busy individuals to find time for self-care. Mobile massage enables you to receive professional bodywork in a familiar, stress-free environment, eliminating the need to arrange childcare, sit in traffic, or drive home feeling exhausted afterward.

Miguel’s goal is to provide compassionate, personalized care that helps every client feel supported, comfortable, and confident throughout their healing journey. Whether you are recovering from surgery, managing a chronic condition, or simply looking to reduce swelling and improve wellness, he is committed to helping you achieve your health goals with professional, evidence-based care.

He looks forward to helping you feel your best! Schedule your appointment today and experience the convenience of expert lymphatic care delivered directly to your home.
