Hello! My name is Vicky and I am the licensed massage therapist here at Wend Wellness Chiropractic. Allow me to tell you a little bit about myself.

I graduated from the New York College of Health Professions in 2006 with an Associates degree in Occupational Studies. Since then, I've worked local spas practicing many body therapies such as hydrating body wraps, body scrubs, hot stone massage, aromatherapy and more.

Additionally, I've worked in many chiropractors' offices practicing medical and sports massage.

In 2017 I got my certification in Ashiatsu Massage in both basic, advanced, and Ashi-Thai from DeepFeet Bar Therapy. Ashiatsu is a barefoot massage technique in which I hold onto suspended bars above the massage table for guidance and stability while I deliver deep, broad, consistent pressure utilizing my clean bare feet and body weight. Working with gravity instead of against it, I'm able to provide an effective therapeutic massage without causing pain or discomfort to myself or the receiving client.

Ashi-Thai is an expression of traditional Thai stretches that have been modified utilizing the overhead bar system and therapists’ body so no heavy lifting or bending occurs at the waist. *Please note that Ashi-Thai is done with the recipients clothing on*

In 2021 I got certified in Sarga Bodywork which is similar to Ashiatsu in that I use my bare feet and body weight. However, unlike using the suspended bars above the massage table, I am using “Sarga Silks” that wrap around my back to stabilize my body so I am able to effectively apply pressure to the recipients body with my clean bare feet.

In October of 2022 I started working for the Seawolves in the Athletic Department of Stony Brook college practicing sports and medical massage.

In 2025, I also became a Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT), practicing Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT) and Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) on Lymphedema patients. I also practice MLD on healthy individuals who are looking to stay healthy and add to their preventative medicine care and lifestyle.
