Lovely to meet you, i’m Ivy!

I am a licensed acupuncturist and clinical herbalist who resides in Seattle, WA with my loving partner Jason and rambunctious pup Mira. I received my Masters of Science in Acupuncture and East Asian Medicine at Bastyr University and my Bachelor of Arts in Public Health from the University of Washington.

I was first introduced to acupuncture during a chronic bout with histamine intolerance. Every day I was plagued with hives — I had tried all the natural remedies and protocols with no success, leaving me to rely on daily Zyrtec and immense shame in not feeling connected to my body. I was written off several times by doctors until I discovered Chinese medicine.

My first acupuncture appointment was thorough. He spent 45 minutes getting to know me as patient, but more importantly as a person. After ONE treatment, my symptoms were cured and never came back.

You can say I was a firm believer after that.

Nature and movement keep me young and my soul nourished. I believe in Chinese medicine so much because of its ability to draw parallels between our bodies and the inherent ebb and flow of the earth. I believe a lot of disease stems from this disconnection.

I am a huge outdoors person. I love to backpack, hike, forage for medicinal plants and take cold river dips (it’s not very Chinese medicine of me, I know). Outside of that I also enjoy yoga, weightlifting, photography, painting, long walks and hoop dancing.

My ethos is that touch and individualized medicine are crucial to effective healing. I look forward to working together!
