Welcome to Come Find A New You. Hi, I am Rebecca Lopez. I started Come Find A New You in 2017 because I knew that I was wasting my God-given talent if I didn't use my hands to serve our Almighty God. I have been told I have a real gift. All I want to do is bring healing in the form of touch to all those who seek it.

Massage is such a powerful form of medicine. In the right form of touch, and with the proper energy and presence of positivity, touch can be instantly healing. For most of my growing up, we've been brainwashed to believe that massage is a luxury and unattainable. Here at Come Find A New You, that couldn't be further from the truth. I hope to change the hearts of many and prove that massage is the best form of medicine available. I am not the only one; the whole massage industry is doing its part to change the way massage is viewed. We're doing our part, and we can't wait for you to join us.

At Come Find A New You, I, being the solo therapist/owner, my sole purpose is to take your body and make it feel like a new you. Re-discover your sense of well-being with personalized massages that will renew your body. I only offer you my best relaxation, therapeutic massages, and other specialized techniques to get you to that new you. I offer different types of Swedish sessions, Sports Massages, Stretch Therapy, and Deep Tissue work.

Types of Swedish sessions:

The Basic Swedish session consists of a more relaxed state. You will feel slow, smooth, elongated motions that will ease the tensions with a light to medium pressure. The Hybrid Swedish sessions consist of a more therapeutic approach to the muscles, using medium pressure. I will use the heavier pressure to manipulate the fascia, which will release any built-up tension. I will use a range of motion movements to reach deeper while still only applying a medium pressure.

Sports Massage:

Sports Massage, although sports massage usually consists of a Pre and Post workout, for our sessions, unless I am at an event that requires a pre-workout, I will only be using post-workout sports massage. This addresses the joints as well as the muscles, applying stretching while massaging. This reduces inflammation, muscle cramps and spasms, and it also increases joint range of motion and flexibility. The main purpose of Sports massage is to decrease the chance of injury. You do not have to be actively playing a sport to be able to receive a Sports massage. I highly recommend these sessions to all clients who perform regular high-intensity workouts throughout the week.

Deep Tissue:

Deep Tissue massage is really the most therapeutic. This type of massage is designed to reach the deeper levels of fascia that we don't realize could be causing an underlying issue. Deep Tissue is the ideal treatment plan for the major muscle groups, like the shoulders, mid and low back, glutes, and upper leg regions. It is also known to address and treat strains and injuries in your joints and tendons. I have a huge clientele that praises my shoulder and full back bodywork. I get some praise for my sciatica and lower body work, but most of my clients praise my upper body work. Which is why I offer some Upper body only sessions for those who want the spend the whole session on the upper body.

Stretch Therapy:

I have recently added Stretch therapy to my practice. It consists of assisted stretching, often performed on a massage table, that aims to improve flexibility, mobility, range of motion, and reduce pain by targeting muscles and the surrounding connective tissues, or fascia. Performed by a trained professional, it involves stretching multiple joints and muscle groups simultaneously to achieve greater physical freedom and efficiency of movement for people of all ages and fitness levels. I highly recommend this for my clients whose range of motion is becoming restricted. Example: If you are working at a desk, sitting/standing all day, do the same movements routinely throughout the day, then this session is a requirement for you.

Backtracking to my God given talent, my clients always question how my initial contact with them always hits the right spot. I always answer, I am only the physical being that is being used to bring them healing. I feel called to do this work, and I feel blessed to be able to bring relief to all my clients. I think that is my favorite part. Being able to pinpoint the problem, find out what is causing it, whether that be a repetitive daily activity or a one-time pulled muscle. Addressing the problem and watching as my client is relieved and starts to regain range of motion, it's what keeps me here.

I am honored to be in my position. I am honored to have this ability, and I am grateful that I get to meet new lifelong clients and provide continuous healing. I want everyone to enjoy an experience that will allow you to achieve calm, relaxation, and peace inside and out. As of right now, I am a mobile therapist, located in the St. Petersburg area. I will be able to provide service to surrounding cities, including but not limited to Brandon, Clearwater, Hudson, Lakeland, Riverview, Tampa, Wesley Chapel, and Zephyrhills.
