My Mission

At CODE 7 RECOVERY, my mission is to support the heroes who serve and protect — military personnel, veterans, law enforcement, firefighters, EMS, dispatch, and the families who stand with them. I deliver trusted, therapeutic massage where you feel safest: your home, station, training facility, or event. Service life is demanding. Recovery shouldn’t be another battle. I show up with purpose, compassion, and professional skill to help you unwind, recover, and return to duty — in body, mind, and spirit. You’re not just a client here. You’re part of the CODE 7 family.

My Story

I’m Kandy VanderKooi, Licensed Massage Therapist, former Police Officer, and proud Marine wife. I’ve lived the realities of shift work, call‑outs, missed meals, and the silent wear that stress and trauma leave on the body. I watched the people I care about push through pain because there wasn’t time — or access — to meaningful recovery. That needed to change.

In radio speak used by many departments, “Code 7” means it’s time for a meal break — a pause to refuel and reset. I built CODE 7 RECOVERY on that idea: when you’re constantly on call for others, you deserve protected time to restore yourself. Now I bring professional bodywork directly to those who protect, respond, and sacrifice — so recovery can finally fit real life.
