With over 30 years of experience as a musician and more than a decade as a dedicated sound healer, Matt Brake combines his passion for music with the transformative power of sound therapy to guide others on their journeys of healing and self-discovery.

Matt’s path to sound healing began in 2012 after attending an inspiring workshop with Alexandre Tannous, a world-renowned ethnomusicologist and sound therapist. Moved by Tannous’ profound insights into the therapeutic benefits of sound, Matt received private instruction under his guidance, learning Tibetan techniques with the gong, as well as many other valuable lessons in the nature of sound and how it can shape and change our reality. Matt used this instruction and his many years of experience as a musician to craft his musical skills in using gongs as well as other traditional and non- traditional instruments of the world which he incorporates in his sound practice today to help facilitate deep relaxation, energetic alignment, and holistic well-being.

Matt understands that optimal healing with sound is directly linked to participants coming into a Theta brainwave state. Drawing from his decades-long expertise as a musician and medicine man, he artfully blends intuitive playing with ancient sound healing practices to help people drop into a Theta brainwave state, creating the best environment for healing, consciousness exploration, and personal growth. His sessions, whether one-on-one or in group settings, are designed to harmonize the body, mind, and spirit, helping participants release stress, restore balance, and connect deeper with their inner selves.
