My name is AJ Grady, and I am here for good medicine. As an EMT-Paramedic and then as a Registered Nurse, I have taken care of thousands of patients. From each of them, I have learned about resiliency, pain, healing, and courage. Now, as a Licensed Massage Therapist, I bring not only what I have learned from decades in the medical field, but also, what I have learned from my own personal therapeutic journey. I spent years finding ways to heal my body after a series of seven serious car accidents and multiple injuries. It was a journey that helped me understand deeply that our health and well-being are not only determined by things within our control, but also by things completely outside of our control. Sometimes seven things in a row. :) Even then, after serious repetitive injury—when provided with the support it needs, the human body/the human spirit will lean into healing.

At Embody Massage Therapy, I offer a variety of modalities which I have found to be wonderfully beneficial for the body/mind/spirit. Each modality is very different, but also very effective. I offer Traditional Thai Massage, an ancient and beautiful way to move and stretch the body, and to activate energy meridians with acupressure and compression. I traveled to Chiang Mai, Thailand, to receive my training in Traditional Thai Massage. I also offer Therapeutic Massage, in which I use a variety of techniques, including Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy, Deep Tissue Massage, and Swedish massage to create a massage experience unique to each client for what their body needs on the day they come in. I also offer Manual Lymphatic Drainage--an extremely light and gentle technique that activates and enhances the lymphatic system to remove waste from the tissues, reduce swelling and inflammation, and leave you with a deep sense of relaxation and calm.

I believe that the body holds so much wisdom. The more we pay attention and listen to the body's signals, the more it is able to tell us. As we listen and understand and implement more of what we need to move and breathe and be healthy, healing unfolds. I would be honored to be a part of your healing journey.
