A little bit about my work...

I merge what I know about the human body with what I have felt in my own body. Having (mostly) healed from herniated discs in my cervical spine through the use of various healing modalities, both holistic and allopathic, I am a firm believer in a layered approach to healing and wellness. I almost feel as if that experience was my first true Anatomy class, and probably why neck and shoulder work is some of my favorite!

When practicing massage I am using my hands to listen to the states of the soft tissues and observe the responses to my touch. As I do this, the treatment often takes shape with the client on the table. I love finding new ways to address the complaints of my clients. I enjoy the process of working with my clients to test theories and determine which techniques are best suited for the individual. My practice has been guided by intuition and an intention to facilitate a healing release without resistance through safe, healing touch.

This signature style of spa massage has been crafted to heal body, mind, and spirit leading to the development of the Mountain Medicine brand. Although I consider my approach to be fluid, with each Mountain Medicine Massage you will experience a consistent dedication to providing ultimate relaxation and comfort.

My approach continues to be influenced and inspired by the beauty and cycles of the natural world and how the human body mirrors those cycles. Pocahontas County, with her sleepy limestone mountains, has always given me a sense of stability and has been my anchor to the earth, where I find the "Mountain Medicine" and share it with others.
