As you may know, there are many different forms or styles of massage available. These can be generalized into two origins: Eastern and Western. The primary difference is in their approach to the body. With Eastern styles (Shiatsu, Acupressure, Polarity) the work involves an understanding of the body's energy. Massage originating in the West (Swedish, Esalen, Neuromuscular Therapy, Trager, Myofascial Release, and Connective Tissue Therapy) is based on an anatomical understanding of our body. Each person responds differently to massage and there isn't just one style that is best for all.

At Renewed Energy Massage Therapy, I blend techniques from several of these styles into a massage session that is right for you. My work is based on a version of Swedish massage termed Connective Tissue Therapy and is effective in promoting good health and well-being in many individuals.
