Sunbeam Wellness is a holistic healing company striving to help people out of pain/musculoskeletal dysfunction, with the goal of returning a person to a more balanced state. When there are musculoskeletal imbalances, this affects the function of the body including limiting range of motion, symptoms such as muscular pain, joint pain, or nerve pain due to entrapments. Many factors influence our physical structure throughout time including poor postural habits, repetitive motion injuries, sports injuries, strains/sprains, accidents, and surgeries. During our session we work together to create a personalized treatment plan to help get your body back to a functional, pain free state.

Neurosomatic Therapy is a form of structural bodywork based off Neuromuscular Therapy. This western, non-invasive method of manual therapy uses structural/postural analysis, along with a wide variety of soft tissue manipulation such as trigger point therapy, myofascial release, intro-oral work, visceral massage, and so forth to help treat the root source of pain versus simply treating the symptoms.

Therapeutic Massage is a more general massage session, and major muscles of the entire body are targeted to help relieve tension, reduce pain, and promote overall well-being. A variety of techniques are used depending on the needs of the individual.

Swedish Massage is a more gentle massage modality, aiming to increase circulation, relieve muscle tension, and promote relaxation of the mind and body.

Yoga Therapy can help with a variety of imbalances within the body and mind. Yogic tools are used such as physical positions/stretches (asanas), breath-work (pranayama), sound healing, and a variety of meditation styles designed to help a particular issue or condition, and restore balance in the mind, body, and soul.

Combined Practice: Correcting for structural imbalances in the western anatomical view along with the elemental based Yoga Therapy sessions in the eastern lens creates a well rounded approach. Combining the practices not only targets physical issues that are obstacles to healing through manual therapy, but also creates a therapeutic environment using eastern techniques that can help an individual cope with pain, increase acceptance of a present situation, increase a sense of peace, decrease stress/anxiety, and even help speed the process of healing with the help of mindfulness techniques. The goal is to help the individual come into balance in all aspects of their lives, including physical, emotional, and spiritual.
