The techniques and modalities used during every massage should be as unique as the individual on the table. There is no one size fits all approach to healing, and rehabilitation.

My name is Lorin Winterberg, I am a licensed Neuromuscular Massage Therapist. I pursued my licensure in massage as a means to become a practitioner in functional healing. My approach to massage is holistic, I consider all aspects of each client as they pertain to the recovery, healing, or resorted functionality of the whole person. In our human experience we have created the habit of compartmentalizing our stress, traumas, injuries, disease, or overall unwellness but our brains do not for a sustained period of time, without our bodies becoming symptomatic in some form as a means to communicate its need to heal, and I prioritize considering these factors for the benefit of the client.

Prior to entering my massage therapy career, I switched back and forth between working out of the home and being a stay-at-home mom. In the workforce I have always been drawn to positions that put me in service to others with the goal of promoting their wellness and optimal quality of life. For over a decade I worked in direct patient care as a Certified Nurse Assistant. I am thankful for my time as a CNA as it allowed me to experience the medical field in a multitude of capacities, each further fueling my desire to fill the gap between Functional and Allopathic medicine.

My education experience includes a bachelor's degree in healthcare management from CTU, two semesters at Pikes Peak State College in the academic path of Registered Nurse, I did not finish this path but solidified my desire to pursue functional and naturopathic medicine. LMT training in Colorado Springs from Colorado Institutes of Massage Therapy (CIMT)

During a massage with me you can expect a variety of techniques and modalities applied including,

Trigger Point Therapy, Sports Massage, Deep Tissue, Swedish, Joint Mobilization, Hot Stone, Cupping, IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobility), Passive range of motion, stretching, Acupressure, and Muscle reeducation. I also offer Pre-Natal massage.
