Welcome to A Kind Touch Massage Therapy! My name is Monica Kind and I am a Licensed Massage Therapist located in southeast Michigan. My mission is to provide customized therapeutic massage in an inclusive, affirming space for everyone. Each massage session I give is unique and tailored to what my client needs and wants that day. I use a variety of massage techniques and bodywork modalities to achieve your wellness goals, striving to make every massage relaxing and comforting to the mind and body while also effectively treating your problem areas. My services are available at two locations: a shared public studio in Plymouth, MI and my private home studio in Waterford, MI. This listing is for my Plymouth studio.

I am passionate about helping clients achieve their wellness goals and supporting them with empathy and encouragement every step of the way. I enjoy offering self-care tips and suggesting tools and resources that clients can use at home to manage and decrease chronic pain, headaches, tension, and stress. My goal is to educate and empower people to take better care of themselves in order to improve their overall well-being.

I believe that massage and yoga should be accessible and welcoming to all people and body types. I am an intersectional, anti-racist, body-liberation feminist who treats all people and their bodies with kindness and respect. I am trauma-informed and aim to provide a safe and affirming space for everyone including the LGBTQIA+ community, neurodivergent folx, and disabled people.

Sliding Scale Pricing Policy:

In an effort to make massage therapy more affordable, A Kind Touch offers a sliding scale pricing structure that is designed to meet your financial needs. For each service, there will be three price points to choose from, the highest of which is considered “full” price. The “full” price is determined based on various factors, including the local market and the massage therapist’s experience, and may change at any time. This sliding scale will allow you to choose the price point that you can afford at the time of each appointment. No proof of financial hardship or income documentation will ever be required from me, and all clients at A Kind Touch are offered the same pricing options. A price chart is posted inside the massage studio for easy reference.

Tipping is not required, though it is generally accepted as standard practice. Please only tip if and when you can afford to do so. I encourage you to choose an amount that communicates how satisfied you are with the service you received on each occasion.
