My name is Hollie Schoenwald and I have been a licensed massage therapist since the summer of 2015. I have always been interested in the human body and the many functions that it performs everyday. One of my greatest passions in life is learning how to increase the quality of life, especially if it includes living with less pain and proper function. Our bodies are truly incredible! When stress comes our way, our muscles contract and tense up getting ready for us to fight or fly away and escape. If the stress continues, we have chronic pain that hangs on and inhibits movement decreasing a proper range of motion in the joint. The physiological congestion that comes from a lack of blood flow to the muscles and joints then causes a rippling effect of pinched nerves and degeneration of bone and connective tissue.

My goal for any of my clients is to Optimize their quality of life by enabling the release of tension by bringing circulation back into the muscles, and enhancing proper range of motion within the connective tissue and joints. A favorite motto from one of my myoskeletal teachers, Erik Dalton, is “Motion is lotion.” The more we are able to move, the more we will move, and movement brings a better quality of life!
