Hello! My name is James Ripley.

I became a Licensed Massage Therapist because I want to help people live at peace within their own body. Every day we live with stress of one sort or another. Job and family responsibilities weigh on our minds, the physical demands of our jobs, and even of our recreation, all pile on to give us aches and pains, and reduce our ability to function at our best. My massage is a great way for you to get a "reset" in mind and body.

I have been expertly trained by career veterans of the massage field at SpaTech Institute. I have become very good at finding areas of tension in clients muscles and tendons and then working to soothe those areas gently and effectively. Depending on your particular needs, I can employ my hands, forearms, or silicone cups to break up tension and bring ease and function back to your body. I may apply direct pressure or use a variety of stretching techniques. If what you need is a relaxing session, I use calm music, a slower pace to my work, and longer, lighter techniques in order to induce a state of relaxation that is beneficial to your mind just as much as to your body.

I have been a healthcare professional since 2010. I worked for many years in the dental field, and one of the greatest joys I had in that profession was helping people to feel calm and relaxed during their treatment. I learned that for most people, a friendly, reassuring smile and a clearly described plan of action went a long way towards them feeling at ease. I figure that if I can keep patients who are about to undergo dental treatment happy, I can certainly keep clients who are about to receive a great massage happy!

I am an avid outdoorsman and have hiked, climbed and paddled my way through the back-country of New England. I am a husband, an uncle, a foodie and a geek. I am honored to be your massage therapist.
