My Approach to Bodywork

I offer a unique blend of deep tissue massage and myofascial release focused on enhancing somatic awareness and overall well-being. My sessions skillfully target muscle tension and fascial restrictions, and are tailored to your individual needs, helping you connect with your body on a deeper level, relieve chronic tension, and promote a sense of balance and ease. I offer bodywork sessions for 30, 60, 75, 90, 105, and 120 minutes. Please note that 30 minute sessions are great for regular maintenance, focusing on one targeted area only (shoulder, neck, leg, hip).

Somatic Awareness Sessions

Somatic Experiencing, or SE, is a body-oriented therapeutic model which aims to resolve symptoms of stress, shock, and trauma that accumulate in our bodies and nervous systems. For more information about SE, please visit https://traumahealing.org/se-101/ I began training in Somatic Experiencing in 2025, and have now completed over 100 hours of in-class education.

Booking a Somatic Awareness session with me may include time both on and off the massage table, focusing on healing from chronic pain or past physical traumas (such as accidents, falls, surgeries, or illnesses) using a “body first” approach. Somatic Awareness sessions can be a great complement to traditional (talk) therapy and other healing modalities like physical or occupational therapies. One unique aspect of a Somatic Awareness session is that we focus on the body and its sensations—you don’t have to share any uncomfortable details or narratives with me. The goal of these sessions is to develop an increasing tolerance for difficult bodily sensations and uncomfortable emotions. I’ve found tremendous relief in my own body using this modality, and I’m excited to share it with you. I offer Somatic Awareness sessions for 60 or 90 minutes. I recommend beginning with a 60 minute session.
