Hi there Lovelies, I am Brea, and I will be your Massage Therapist here at Back to You Massage Therapy!

I have been a Licensed Massage Therapist for 8 years now, having graduated in June 2015. My intentions were to attend school so that I could help my mother with her migraines and maybe work at a spa with all the body scrubs and smell goods. That dream shifted once I got into school and realized how many more benefits massages had!
To get personal - I, as many Americans, suffer from Seasonal Depression and Anxiety - I know, super fun, right? Well, while I was in school, I had to receive massages as well as give them in order to learn the proper techniques and forms. I noticed in receiving massages regularly (pretty much everyday), my moods were better than when I wasn’t receiving massage. The way my nervous system gets calmed with light pressure and steady contact made me want to provide this as a service to others.
As I ventured further in my quest for finding more benefits, I stumbled upon the wonderful world of Sports Massage techniques. Did you know that stretching actually helps relieve muscle tension?! Best information to find - and yet, like most, I forget to do it daily myself. I took on some Active Assisted Stretch classes and found an awesome way to help others. I have a newfound respect for a body’s ability to recover from intense workouts, daily activity, and general stress with just a few minutes of movement!
I love my career in Massage Therapy because it allows for me to continue to learn and grow within the world of bodywork. There are always new techniques to add to my repertoire that I’ll be able to bring to the table (massage pun intended).
Now I am here, opening up my own office so that I can continue to bring you the best quality care! Every session, your health needs are my priority. I want to make sure you feel safe and comfortable during session and ready to take on the world afterwards!
