Sawubona! My name is Jorelle Hayes-Bowen, a Licensed Massage profession and the owner/founder of Kemt bodywork. My mission is to help you realize your bodies innate healing ability to restore pain free movement through proper recovery. When anyone hears the word recovery in the realm of bodywork, they immediately think about athletics. While this is true, it is only because it is drilled into the athlete’s mind that they must give their bodies physical recovery in order to perform optimally. Why is this not the case for everyone? When I think of recovery, I see it as restoring energy flow by freeing restrictions caused by stress, stored emotion, and muscle imbalances.

Before getting into bodywork, I worked as an LPN in hospitals and clinics for 10 years. Even though I loved what I did in the realm of helping others in their own healing, there was something missing for me. Having been active all my life and practicing martial arts, I’ve had to deal with the same aches, pains, and movement disfunction that many live with. I knew there had to be a better way to deal with them than just taking medication. I began exploring complimentary forms of medicine from chiropractic, acupuncture, and massage therapy, all of which helped and left me feeling better and freer in my movement. So, I decided this was what I wanted to do and along the way I discovered I had a gift for it.

I believe that everyone needs to give themselves the recovery they need. Our levels of physical activity have changed and we walk around with the weight of the world on our shoulders. The pros wouldn’t hesitate to get recovery bodywork and neither should you.
