Leslie became interested in the profound transformation of CranioSacral Therapy after experiencing some intense back and nerve pain of her own that let do multiple types of therapy. Though the situation eventually required surgery to address the structural issues, Leslie was able to experience some relief from the pain at her very first CranioSacral Therapy session. She was surprised with how gentle the bodywork was, yet it had a considerable impact on relieving her pain and helping her body to move with less tension. She continued with regular massage therapy sessions leading up to surgery, and both the massage and CranioSacral Therapy assisted her in recovery post-surgery in addition to regularly scheduled sessions to help her take care of her body from every-day stresses.

After coming to a further realization of what her therapists were doing, Leslie understood they were using a combination of CranioSacral Therapy and Myofascial Release to help her body tissues release from states of tension with tissues bound up and keeping the body from moving as it should. While Leslie has had an interest in wellness for many years, this opened her eyes to a specific area she could focus on for pursuing a career of her own.
