I chose to commit myself to wellness because I care about people. I’ve had students come to me and tell me that yoga has increased their bone mass, that yoga has enabled them to move in ways that they had just given up on because they’d been injured or hadn’t taken care of themselves. I’ve helped people through the vehicle of massage therapy to recover from chronic pain and injury and find ease and comfort in their bodies. Across both modalities I approach my teaching and my massage therapy practice with mindfulness and attention to who is in front of me, with the understanding that the human body wants to heal, and wants to find equilibrium; sometimes we just need a guide.
