Massage Therapist, Yoga Instructor, and Creator of The Natural Nomad

Jamila M. Campbell is a caring and attentive wellness professional specializing in Massage Therapy and Beginners Yoga Instruction. Jamila never forgets the importance of living a natural and healthy lifestyle. She encourages her clients and peers to incorporate nature based living into their lives in order to ensure a better quality of life. Jamila’s earliest work began well before she realized her capabilities as a wellness professional. While in high school she worked with fellow track members who called on her for massage after practice and intense track meets. Years later she massaged family members who insisted she become a professional because her amateur sessions were equal to that of a trained therapist. With that encouragement she sought the training needed for certification that set her on the path to becoming a professional healer.

Afrter reveiving her Bachelor of Arts from Howard University, Jamila received her Massage instruction from a nationally accredited school, The National Massage therapy Institute located in Falls Church, VA. She received her national certification and state licensure soon after her graduation in March of 2007. Since then Jamila has gained much of her experience working with the most prestigious spa’s, wellness centers, and medical facilities. During massage sessions Jamila is known to use a variety of techniques that may include a combination of Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release, Stretching and Guided Breathing. Each session is carefully customized to fit the individual needs and expectations of the recipient. After several years of providing massage services Jamila realized that many of her clients needed addition instruction on how to stretch in order to improve their quality of life. Jamila then signed up for a Yoga Teacher Training Program that gave her the proper instruction, guidance, and confidence to help her teach Vinyasa Yoga at a beginner’s level. She completed her training with Faith Hunter of Faith Hunter Yoga at Embrace in Washington D.C.

Jamila is very excited about her future as a wellness professional and healer. She hopes to acquire new skills and techniques in order to better serve her community. Jamila M. Campbell of The Natural Nomad looks forward to helping you relax, and helping you heal.
