I became interested in the way the body worked when I started going to the gym about 7 years ago. My goal was to take better care of myself and in the process, I lost weight, got really interested in weight training and became a personal trainer. At the time I owned a business (over 20 years), non health related, and let all that training and the gym go to the back burner.

A couple of years ago, my best friend was going to school for Massage Therapy. I was interested in all she was learning, but never dreamed I would give up my then current career for going back to school to become a massage therapist myself. It wasn't easy. There was so much to learn. I wasn't sure I could even do it, but I did and here I am. If it wasn't for my best friend and continued help from my instructors, I wouldn't be here.

I love everything about being able to help people that are hurting or have issues. Every day is a learning process for me and knowing the client that walked through my door hurting is going out smiling means a lot to me.

Don't ever let someone tell you that you can't go back to school at 59 and a year later start a new career totally out of your comfort zone.
