Brenda Whetro has a deep rooted history of valuing the importance of healing and well being for the mind and body. From the time she was young, she remembers seeing her loved ones cope with the physical ailments of an aching body, and wanting to heal that pain is what inspired her to become a massage therapist. Her aspirations would bring healing to not only her loved ones, but the community as well. Brenda believes that massage is something that should be attainable for everyone in need of healing.

She started her journey as a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) when she received her license with the State of Ohio Medical Board after graduating from the Northwest Academy of Massotherapy, Inc. in 2006. She "hit the ground running" with her massage career, working hard as she carved her path to becoming the owner of Body Wise Massage Therapies in 2011.

From the time Brenda started her career in massage therapy in the Toledo, Ohio area, she has significantly grown her massage expertise to include a wide range of services designed to promote healing and well being for her clients. Brenda's clients have numerous massage therapy service options to meet their healing needs, starting with traditional offerings such as: Swedish, relaxation, hot stone, therapeutic, deep tissue, chair and sports massages. Her expertise expands into service options that includes: Cryotherapy, cupping massage, Lypossage, Kinesio tape application and lymphatic drainage therapy.

Body Wise Massage Therapies is located in Holland, OH, but her service area the Toledo, Maumee, Waterville, Whitehouse, Sylvania, Perrysburg, and Swanton areas as well.

Brenda Whetro's History:
Her first LMT job at Arrowhead Massage Therapy provided her with over four years experience providing clients with the massage designed to meet their needs, whether that be deep tissue, relaxation, hot stones or medical massage. In addition to the traditional styles of massage methods Brenda provided, she also administered healing through Reiki and lymph drainage therapy (Upledger method).

This practice carried over into her experience working with Dr. Webb-Smith, as she provided lymph drainage after the doctor's use of Zerona Laser and Body Jet Liposuction therapies, in addition to the massage therapy she provided clients. In conjunction with her in-office role, Brenda continued expanding her massage business by working as an on-site massage therapist providing chair massages at businesses and private events.
