I chose the name for this place of compassion and healing because my dog, Willow was a true source of healing for me. Her unconditional love and sweet spirit brought me through a very difficult time. While the willow tree is often associated with sorrow, the sight, or mere thought of it delivers calm acceptance and serenity. The wood of a willow is flexible and strong. It is this internal ability to adapt that lends to the survival and beauty of this magnificent tree. That same metaphorical root system is present in the human body. Within ourselves, we hold the ability to adapt; to grow stronger.
