What began as a seemingly simple inquiry into the nature of pain, turned into an intricate rabbit hole: It turns out that pain is inextricably tied to our psychology, anatomy, and physiology. As a result, the brain creates a sliding scale on which we experience pain.

I believe symptoms are the only voice your body has to tell you something isn't right. To silence or ignore that voice rather than do the work of identifying and tending to the root of what is ailing you is to do your body, your soul, and your story, a dis-service.

Instead of just dealing with these issues that pop up & hoping they'll get magically better on their own, I take the time to help you figure out what's causing them.

How? My approach to bodywork combines several modalities including Neurosomatic Therapy, Deep Tissue, Dynamic Cupping, Swedish, and Structural Integration.

Neurosomatic Therapists specialize in how the relative position and texture of EVERY structure of the body – including organs, blood vessels, nerves, and other soft tissue structures, affects posture and how well the body functions as a whole. Many of the principles we work with are rooted in Osteopathic medicine, however we are not Medical Doctors. Instead, we take an in-depth anatomical approach to body homeostasis, and primarily treat muscles, fascia, organs and joints.

An NST treatment feels different than a relaxation massage you'd receive at a spa. Sometimes the treatment process can be a bit challenging, but it generates real, long-term healing that yields significant and lasting results.

Depending on individual needs, you have the option to request Functional Labs (a comprehensive Blood & Lipid Panel, a GI test, Organic Acids, etc) to help paint an accurate picture of what's happening INSIDE of your body.

Whether the intention is to heal yourself, relieve pain, promote relaxation, increase range of motion and flexibility, to release energy blockages, or any combination of these; I will custom tailor your service to meet individual circumstances.
