WELCOME TO McCANN SPORTS!

"There is nothing noble in being superior to your fellow man; true nobility is being superior to your former self." ― Ernest Hemingway

I am Teddy McCann, the CEO/Owner of McCann Sports, LLC.

Professional massage therapy has been my chosen path to serve our community since 1997 and God-willing many more years to come! Throughout my career, I have been blessed to have had many exciting opportunities to work alongside other professional health and wellness providers and to serve a wonderful group of humans that I get to call clients! While it has been a great ride so far, both personally and professionally, I am not done yet. To quote the late, great *Yogi Berra (1925-2015), “It ain’t over, ‘till it’s over”.

I am on a mission, seeking to serve people by looking through the “human first” lens and delivering excellent massage therapy care to everybody.

You will be treated with kindness and compassion with every interaction with me. I am here to help…in whatever capacity I can as your massage therapist…I have a scope of practice and I “stay in my lane”.

I am not a physical therapist

I am not a chiropractor
I am not a doctor
I am not a mental health professional
I am not a nutritionist
I am not a personal trainer
I am not an athletic trainer

I am a massage therapist who promises to care for you as a human and provide massage therapy services in a professional manner staying within my scope of practice.

I have a great network of allied health and wellness professionals, who also just happen to be fantastic humans. :) I would be honored to put you in contact with them…just let me know what additional services or care you are looking for. I will do my best to connect you with the right professional(s).

You may be wondering what I mean by "human first”? It is a concept that is constantly evolving and being refined within my thinking, but I basically mean:

I care for humans before and after I provide professional massage therapy services
I care for humans more than certifications, specific therapies or systems
I care for humans more than I care for my pocketbook
I care for humans.
I care for YOU….because you are human! :)

YOU can be sure that I will focus my energy and effort to meet you where you are.

If you are new to massage therapy, or a seasoned pro. I want to help!

If you are in poor health, chronic pain, injured, and/or feeling the weight of life’s many stressors, I want to help!

If you are in great shape, training, recovering from a workout, I want to help!

With 26 years of professional massage therapy experience, I promise to “show up” bringing my caring and lighthearted personality to every session.

During each session I will strive to:

focus on you.
humbly serve you.
care for you.

I am looking forward to working with you!
Sincerely,
Teddy
