Adhesion Release Methods (ARM) is the ONLY diagnostic and treatment system for the most common cause of chronic pain in people who have had pain over 6 months and seen 3+ docs or therapists with relief, Adhesion.

Adhesion is made of fascial glue and forms in 2 ways: trauma (large load in a short period of time) or more commonly, over use (slightly excessive load over a long period of time). It will cause tightness and weakness. When glued to nerves, it will cause trigger points or knots, which typically don't respond to any other type of body work.

Regular body work is random and focused on a large area of the body, typically because manual therapists don't know where to focus treatment. ARM treatments focus on maximum tension where the adhesion lives in order to tear it out so the body's inflammation system can recycle the waste products.

Tension (a pulling apart force) breaks adhesion. A very deep massage with lots of compression (a pushing down force) does not. An ARM session is typically 4-8 treatment passes in the highest priority dime-sized adhesion spots.

By treating the adhesions in muscles, tendons, ligaments, and around nerves, an ARM provider can unload and provide relief for any musculoskeletal condition including:

cervical, thoracic, and lumbar disc problems
sciatica
any joint degeneration including hips, knees, feet, shoulder, elbows, wrists, etc.
plantar fasciitis
golfer's elbow
tennis elbow
rotator cuff pathologies
any peripheral nerve entrapment
upper back pain or upper trap knots
morton's neuromas
etc.

When treated, chronic pain sufferers will typically see an immediate change in a provocative motion, range of motion, or a decrease in the hardness of the trigger point or knot. Some percentage of permanent relief can be expected in 1-5 treatments and most cases resolve in 12-16 treatments, although simpler cases can resolve in less than that and more complex cases can hit maximum medical improvement (50-100% relief) in as many as 30-40 treatments.
