Oct 2025 update -

New state, new office space info, new practice days! I'm thrilled to announce that I'll be practicing out of The Grand Center for Arts & Culture, a super cool historic building in downtown New Ulm, Minnesota. I'll just be there Tuesdays and Saturdays for now, but more days/hours to come in the upcoming months as I start to rebuild my practice here in Minnesota.

Please note that because my availability is limited, I am primarily accepting new clients on a referral basis only, so please let me know who sent you my way when you reach out. Sept 2025 update-

Well, Ohio, that’s just about a wrap!! My schedule is totally booked through my last day of work (Sept. 12th). If you’re an existing client and would like to get on the call list in case of any cancellations over the next week, please text me (no new clients at this time).

Minnesota, I’m hoping to be ready to start seeing clients (for some limited hours, initially) by October. I’ll be in or around the New Ulm/Sleepy Eye area, so keep an eye on this space or my facebook page for updates on where exactly I will be practicing.

Founded in 2015 by Anne Reilly, LMT (she/her), Embody offers customized therapeutic massage, cupping, bamboo massage, and massage for people living with cancer, as well as end-of-life/hospice massage services.

I am a solidly mid-range pressure therapist, and I don't believe that massage has to hurt to be effective (so if you're looking for super deep tissue and like to be sore for 3 days after a massage, I am probably not your best fit). Most of my clients have various physical complaints, injuries, or aches & pains that they are there to address, so I definitely have a therapeutic emphasis and you will feel like we have done some work after a session. However, part of the beauty of massage is the calming effect it has on our nervous systems, so I believe in encouraging and working with that aspect of treatment as well.

I have an eclectic approach to massage, and often tell clients that my massage style is compilation of every massage I've ever gotten and every class I've ever taken. Depending on what issues and concerns a client presents with, a session may include some deep tissue or trigger point work, Swedish massage techniques, Thai massage techniques (like stretching, compressions, or sen line work), some myofascial release, use of warm bamboo sticks (to help warm up and relax the muscles), or some moving or static cupping techniques. I don't charge extra for various modalities, so you will pay the same price (detailed under the Service Menu) regardless of what techniques or tools I might use during a session.
