Jill "Tubes" Winfield B.S. LMT LM (Licensed Massage Therapist, Licensed Manicurist) (they/them). Specializes in Myofascial Release (MFR) and Ashiatsu (massage with the practitioners feet) and Ashi Thai (stretching on a massage table, using the ashi bars, with thai massage based techniques) modalities for lasting effective results. They got their Bachelors Degree at Western Michigan University in 2016; Graduated from the Institute for Massage Education (formerly known as the Kalamazoo Center for the Healing Arts) in July 2019; Licensed in Nov 2019; Certified as a Ashiatsu DeepFeet Therapist in May 2021, learned DeepFeet Ashi Thai in May 2022.

Tubes got completed Nail Tech School in late 2023 & got their Manicurist License in Jan 2024.

Tubes prefers to work with gels (Hard Gel or Soft Gel or YN Keratin Gel) when it comes to artificial nails. Acrylic and Dip is also available! Most products used will be from Young Nails, Kiara Sky, & Beetles. If you want a highly specific color or design make sure you send inspo pics to jill@malleolusstudios.com at least 3 days BEFORE your nail appointment so there is time to acquire products (a small fee may be charged if you want something super duper niche that I may never use again).

FYI for Pedicures: if you plan to add on a foot soak & scrub it is recommended not to shave your legs 24 to 48 hours before the pedicure. The microtrauma of shaving leaves space for bacteria and other ickies to enter the skin and can cause irritation and in super rare can cause infection.

Tubes was on an Olympic Weightlifting team and competed at local level meets. They have also been a US Masters Swimming member. Other sports Jill has trained in/played include Karate, Tai Chi, Colorguard, Soccer, Pole Fitness, and backyard volleyball.

Mask Policy: If you are getting over any cold, illness, sniffles PLEASE wear a mask. Rescheduling is not a big deal (even day of your appointment) and please wait for a week post covid to come in. Jill, although fully vaccinated, has asthma and fibromyalgia (does NOT want to get sick covid or non-covid). If you need a referral to another therapist they are happy to do so! Tubes will likely opt to wear a mask in the therapy room during the session for the foreseeable future.
