Hi! I’m Julia Jet Livingston, certified massage therapist and owner of Beachside Massage.

I specialize in Neck and Shoulder Pain.

I grew up in an athletic family. My mom ran marathons and my dad sailed competitively. I began massaging them by the time I was five, and started getting a feel for how touch can heal the athlete. I started running races when I was eight and started surfing in 2014. I began to feel the tensions build in my own body and found interest in helping others.

I graduated San Francisco School of Massage in 2017 and opened Beachside Massage that following winter. I wanted to focus on helping surfers, like myself. I was drawn to study Lomi Lomi Massage at Ho’omana on Maui because Hawaiians, having invented surfing held the ancestral knowledge of how to heal the surfers’ body. I found a deep connection to Lomi and the many ways the techniques could be used to address pain in the body and spirit. I have experience in Advanced Lomi Techniques of Skeletal and Core Alignment; Extremities and Attachments; Kua Lua, Backwalking; La’au Lapa’au, Medicinal Therapies and knowledge of the Spirit-Body-Connection. Many times, our stress and tension shows up in our bodies, frequently travelling up our hips into our neck and shoulders. It’s my mission to provide a deep, relaxing massage that therapeutically addresses pain and leaves your spirit feeling refreshed and awakened.
