My first experience with Myofascial Release (MFR) was when I was in massage school. A local chiropractor, Lori who practices the John Barnes approach to MFR, had come to teach us about MFR. We had partnered up, Lori told us where to put our hands, so I did as I was told having no clue what I was trying to feel for. After a few minutes, my partner started to have an emotional release. I was immediately intrigued.

My first treatment experience was at a three day seminar. Every time we went into treating each other, I could feel the energy building within my body, growing more intense with each day. By the third day, something unlocked within me, it was like the flood gates opened & I was able to truly use & project my voice in a long time or perhaps the 1st ever.

I came away from that seminar like a new person, a new perspective, & a new therapist. I knew this was something so special that I had to share with as many people as I can. I feel like everyone needs this experience, not just to feel, but also to regain freedom within your body. Life is too short to be hindered by pain and lack of mobility to do all the things and activities that bring you joy, happiness and bliss.
