Why the word, "composure," you ask?

Definition: the state of feeling or being calm and in control of oneself.

When was the last time you felt perfectly calm? I love that feeling. I love feeling at peace with the world around me. And as an adult, sometimes that state of mind is difficult to create. Composure is a way to find balance, tranquility, completeness. When I changed careers I knew I wanted a way to help others focus on their well being. Having an injury only helped me realize that goal.

I learned in massage school that massage therapists are not "healers." Instead, we facilitate clients to heal from within. I think this is a powerful statement. I have felt the lasting affects of various body work and modalities, but I still have to do my homework and put in the work to keep my body working as a finely tuned machine.
