The hustle and bustle of everyday life can weigh heavy on your body, leaving one feeling tense, anxious, and drained. I believe that taking the time for yourself to receive gentle, therapeutic touch is vital! Reducing the body of pain and discomfort, easing the effects of anxiety and stress, are my goals for your session.

Therapies: As a certified craniosacral therapist and licensed bodyworker, the variety of gentle touch therapies I provide can help your body release long-held patterns of tension, pain, and dysfunction. This is done through therapeutic, heart-centered touch, ultimately connecting you with your body’s own innate healing abilities. I listen, respond, and offer the support your body needs to let go of painful tension patterns. These tense areas drain our vital energy - energy that can be released and re-directed to nurture and support your body’s inherent ability to self-regulate and heal.

Here are a few other healing modalities that can assist you in your healing process:

Tension/Trauma Release (TRE) Facilitator: I can teach you a simple, self-help technique to help release tension, and possibly trauma, from your central nervous system.
Licensed Massage Therapist: I can offer you a "spot treatment” massage, to help release tight area(s) in your body.

How therapies work: They enable and support your body’s innate wisdom and healing processes. I blend a skilled therapeutic touch with a heart-centered healing presence. Following the guidance of your body’s inner wisdom, I carefully listen, respond, and offer the support your body needs to unwind, and possibly release, painful restriction patterns.

As tight muscles soften, and nerves relax, bones re-align, your immune system can be strengthened. Circulation of your vital energy (Chi), along with essential fluids can be enhanced: blood, lymph, and cerebrospinal fluid (supports healthy brain function).

With Craniosacral Therapy in particular, there is a focus on releasing the structures and tissues that support the brain and spinal cord (head, spinal column, tail bone, and tissues). These releases help your central nervous system (CNS), and the other systems it has influence over, function more optimally. CST has been known to address many ailments, for example: headaches, PTSD, TMJD, fibromyalgia, and emotional release. It can be great for just some good old-fashioned rest and relaxation.

What you can expect from a session: Our session takes place in a quiet, private setting. I listen to what is most important to you, addressing any questions you may have, prior to treatment. Next, you relax on a comfortable treatment table (fully clothed). I perform a brief, whole body evaluation, feeling for areas of tension and imbalance. Next, I apply gentle techniques to facilitate the release of tension pattern(s), and I support your body to make the needed self-corrections.

Each person's experience is unique to them. Clients have reported feeling, "more relaxed," "a sense of calm and ease," and "feelings of warmth and pulsation, as tension is released." Some clients say they feel a "positive influence on their mental and emotional state," and sometimes even more.

About me: I trained in these therapies after experiencing the personal benefits that helped transform my life. Living in constant fear, tension, and deep emotional pain was not working for me. I did not know how I could go on! The tension-releasing benefits of these therapies, helped my body relax and the incessant, negative mental chatter to lessen. I then gained clarity on how to handle the challenges of life with more grace and ease. Now, life can be more joyful; I can even experience states of inner peace.

Tips for getting the most out of your session:

Dress comfortably, preferably no belts or necklaces.
Allocate 1 hour for your session.
I suggest that you allow yourself enough arrival time. You can use this time to begin your transition from the outside world into your personal “healing space." Take a few cleansing breaths, and begin to notice how you feel in this moment.

Late Arrivals:

24-hour cancellation policy. 24-hour notification is required when cancelling or re-scheduling an appointment. This allows someone else the opportunity to schedule a session. If you are not able to provide 24-hour notice, you will be charged the full amount. I certainly understand that emergencies arise. If so, just let me know as soon as possible.
