Rebecca Pellerin is an Ayurveda Health Counselor.  She graduated from the University of Maine in 2006 with a Bachelor's degree focused in Peace Studies, Philosophy, and language.  For the past seven years, she has studied Kundalini Maha Yoga with Shri Anandi Ma and Shri Dileepji as her teachers, learning through intense personal practice about the teachings of meditation, yoga, pranayama, and Ayurveda.  At her very first retreat, she fell in love with Ayurveda and soon began her studies of this ancient Indian science, which approaches health and healing through food choices, lifestyle, herbs, and meditation practices.  In 2010, Rebecca graduated from the Kripalu School of Ayurveda.  She is currently certified as an Ayurveda Health Counselor with the National Ayurveda Medical Association (NAMA) .  Rebecca has completed additional Ayurveda training with Dr. Vasant Lad, BAMS, MASc, as well as mentorships with Dr. Claudia Welch, DOM.  Rebecca is currently fulfilling an internship in hands-on Ayurveda therapies with practitioners of Dhyanyoga Centers, as well as working towards her Aromatherapy certification, an Ayurveda-based approach through Floracopeia.  Equipped with these additional healing techniques, Rebecca looks forward to supporting her clients with a full sensory experience that balances the doshas, calms the mind, and enlivens the prana.  Rebecca's appreciation for simplicity is the basis for her work with clients and students.  Her guiding philosophy is that the simplest approach is usually the most effective one.  She knows that with tremendous focus and a pure heart, true health of body, mind, and spirit can be fully attained.

Ayurveda massage (Abhyangha)

I am currently undergoing an internship with practitioners of Dhyanyoga Centers to learn Ayurveda massage techniques. This includes a 4-week stay for an Ayurveda & Yoga intensive at the Dhyana Dham Ashram in Nikora, India, where I will be working side-by-side with highly qualified Ayurveda practitioners. This one trip will contribute 150+ hours to my hands-on experience of this highly effective, ancient technique of massage which calms the mind, balances the body, and nourishes the spirit.
