I had the idea to start a mobile massage business a few years ago. And to answer your question: No, it did not come from watching Friends. Someone asked me this recently and I had no idea what they were talking about. Yep, you’ve now met someone who has not watched the series.

My first grown up job was as a registered nurse. I graduated from The University of Texas Health Science Center, School of Nursing, in San Antonio, Texas in 2010. I have helped deliver babies (Maternity Services nurse), checked scalps for lice (School nurse), and relayed hundreds of test results (GYN Clinic nurse). My work was rewarding and yet I had this overwhelming desire to start my own business. I knew I wanted to continue helping people but it wouldn’t be as a nurse.
In September 2018, I started massage therapy school at McLennan Community College in Waco, Texas and became a licensed massage therapist in May 2019. My nursing knowledge and experience has provided a seamless transition into massage therapy. Although I know more about muscles now than I ever did.
While in massage therapy school, my husband and I became pregnant for the first time after a year and a half of infertility. Devastatingly, we lost our pregnancy the day after Christmas at 12 weeks. I'd hemorrhaged and lost consciousness. After two blood transfusions, my body stabilized but my mind was forever altered. The path I thought I'd be traveling was no longer a road to be traveled on.
But through grief, there can still be growth.
And through infertility, there can still be joy.
When I started massage therapy school, the idea of renovating of school bus into a mobile massage business felt too big, too scary. But fear flees when you truly realize how precious life is.
Join me in supporting your business. Whether that’s by reducing stress, improving productivity or building recruitment/retention strategies, I'm ready to grow together and experience joy.
Much Love,
-Krystal
